Ilford Community Football

Ilford Community Football (ICF) initially started with a small number of young adults attending the sessions. Within 18 months the number of attendees had grown to more than 80 each week with 5 football pitches being used, and after two years there are around over a 100 participants including younger age groups on average attending week in week out.

The sessions are held every Sunday morning from 10am to 12pm at Valentines Park, Melbourne Fields.

From time to time, the younger age groups (under 10’s through to under 15’s) are treated to a tournament where we invite teams from both Seven Kings and Redbridge community football who run similar programmes to our own. Medals are provided to the winners and runners up of each age group.

ICF also holds an annual football tournament, which is organised for the local and wider community where medals, trophies and food is provided.

ICF is seeking volunteers to assist in setting up, supervising and managing the football sessions.

– love working with children
– have a vibrant, fun and confident personality

– have good leadership and organisational skills

– have a willingness to learn

There may be a requirement to attend events outside of the times of the Sunday morning sessions.
